Since then, the Ministry of Ayush has been consistent in coming out with ideas and measures on or around the Ayurveda Day each year, and through them, in taking the rewards of Ayurveda to the public. With the help of the protocol, emphasis was placed on treating Diabetes with the help of Ayurveda and its effective management. ![]() The implementation of the mission was carried out through a specially designed National Treatment Protocol. On the first Ayurveda Day, the Ministry launched the campaign ‘Mission Madhumeha through Ayurveda’. The Ministry of Ayush has taken up many praise-worthy measures to meet these objectives. In addition, the Day also creates awareness among the youth about Ayurvedic principles of daily living. Various efforts are taken up as part of the Ayurveda Day activities to contribute towards National Health Policy and various public health programmes. The main aim of the Government in observing the Day is to further promote Ayurveda into the mainstream healthcare system and to tap into the well known strengths of Ayurveda to address some of the serious public health challenges of the country.
